Required Training
All board members must complete basic training required by federal regulatory agencies, accrediting bodies, and NIH policies. The IRB has carefully selected specific training courses for our board members to prepare them for the research they may encounter during their service. The training offers basic and specific information critical to successful service on the IRB, as well as practical tips and techniques to help you be an efficient and constructive member.
- Completion of CITI Biomedical Training Module
- Completion of the IRB Member Information Update Form
- Observance of one convened NIH IRB Meeting
- Refer to the "Upcoming Events" link below to see the upcoming IRB meetings. Please email Mollie Fraser with the date/time you would like to attend. Mollie will alert the Analyst assigned to the meeting, and send you the Teams link for the meeting.
- Attending the IRB Board Member Training conducted by Nicole Grant, Executive Chair
- These occur throughout the year, and we will provide you with a date/time to ensure your attendance.
- Completion of PROTECT Training
- Assists you in navigating the system for reviews.
