How to review for an IRB meeting

Agendas for the meetings are sent out one week in advance of the meeting via PROTECT.

  • Review the agenda when you first receive it to be sure you do not have any conflict of interest with any of the scheduled actions. If you do, please contact the Analyst for the meeting ASAP so that the action can be assigned to a different reviewer.
  • Initial Reviews and Modifications can take more time to review. If you are assigned to one of these actions, begin your review of that action ASAP so that if you have questions for the study team, you can ask the study team well in advance and give them time to respond.
  • Complete your review in PROTECT 2 business days prior to the meeting.
  • Use the resources below to guide your review.
