PROTECT New User Classes (NIH Users)

Find an upcoming new user class, or just get a refresher

The PROTECT New User Classes are for NIH Users that will either be a PI or a study team member. The classes are by invite only and are held virtually, in small-groups, by one of our PROTECT Trainers. The class covers an overview of the research review timeline, how to create and submit the most common IRB submissions, as well as other ancillary reviews. NIH users who are new to PROTECT will leave the class with an active PROTECT account, know how to take the next steps on their research submission and where to get help moving forward.

New system users requesting a PROTECT account should tell us on their PROTECT Help Desk Ticket which class they would like to attend. A PROTECT Trainer will send them a Teams invite to the class once confirmed.

Current system users are also welcome to observe one of our upcoming classes as a refresher. Email the PROTECT Trainer (sue.tindall@nih.gov) to receive an invite to one of the classes below.
